Numbers are all off

There is something odd going on with the Discussion and Comments numbers. I know we talked about it before. But even after hours and days, its not auto-updating. For example:
Showcase: 0 discussion, 0 comments - actual: 1 discussion, 0 comments
JGAurora A4 -> Getting Started & Troubleshooting:  3 discussions, 0 comments - Actual: 2 discussions, 1 comment
JGAurora A5 -> Getting Started & Troubleshooting:  2 discussions, 2 comments - Actual: 3 discussions, 12 comments
JGAurora A5 -> Modifications & Upgrade: 1 discussion, 0 comments - Actual: 2 discussions, 0 comments
JGAurora Z-603S -> Getting Started * Troubleshooting: 0 discussion, 0 comments - Actual: 1 discussion, 0 comments

I know we talked about this before and theorized that it might be a caching 'feature' to improve performance, but so many days later on some of these discussions and comments, and the top-layer counts are still not updated.

Perhaps there is a setting to reign back the caching feature to not be so aggressive?

Thanks!

    P.S.
    Sam, I see you've got a  comment on the Vanilla Forum regarding this bug already. Sorry for not checking there first.
    Looks like you're already on it, but there is no fix for it at the moment.
    Cheers!

    I found I can manually update the numbers by forcing a recount... but yeah, its a bug AFAIK.

    Can you add a cron job to run the update every hour or so?
